Card kits

I currently subscribe to the Stampin up! Paper Pumpkin monthy kit and I was very disapointed in their October kit, it was a project kit, a stupid note pad. They give you 3 stamps to use with it but it's useless, because the paper comes in a roll, you'd have to stamp every time you made a "to do" or "grocery" list. So impractical. I like the kit for cards I give them one more month, if November's is bad, I'm done! And may switch over to something like this maya road kit!

Maya Road has these great card kits for $25, buy them here:

I love their little paper clips, so cute, and the badges, awesome!

Trick or treat

Here are some sweet creations I made for this Halloween! I was inspired at the Thunder Bay Crop and Create challenge "get interactive". What's more interactive than a card you can shake and eat!

February Collection

Here are five cards I've made with this versatile collection. It's rare that you get a kit that you can create cards for kids, teens, guys and mothers day, but that's exactly what I've done here. The first one is generic and could be given for many occasions.
Next is my mother's day card, just loved those little letters, they're the perfect size for cards!
Third, my son's 9th birthday card, you could do any age with the 12x12 paper that has number 0-9.
Forth is a card I made for my niece's 13th birthday, this one is my favourite.
And last but not least my hubby turns 40 this year so that one is for him, an avid cyclist, the bike sticker was a perfect match!
Instead of doing a layout for you I've put together this fun project, The Goo Kit, inspired by my daughter who loves making and playing with goo. This kit makes a great birthday gift for kids and we seem to have a lot of them this month! The idea came from the Lil'luna blog. It includes a complete tutorial that has print outs to make this a simple project. Here is what my kit looks like using the February Collection. Inside the gift basket are two 4oz bottles of glue, a glass bottle filled with borax (and decorated with the materials from this kit), green food colouring and a Crayola air tight container to put the finished product in!

New Year's Collection!

Out with the old and in with the new! This applies to the up and coming kit for January 2013, This and That Graceful by Echo Park. It's a pretty collection filled with polka dots, rulers, flowers and my personal favourite, birds! I really enjoyed created cards and layouts from this collection of papers and stickers.

Serenade is now online at Created With Paper

Be sure to check out this gorgeous collection from BoBunny that is featured in December's kit from Created With Paper! Gorgeous for cards and scrapbook pages. Here I have created a 12 x 12 framed picture from a Christmas card sent to me last year. It was a photo card and a perfect match for this month's Serenade kit.
There are a variety of cards that can be created from this kit, they come off as classic and rich with the deep tones and vibrant combinations of colours. Say it in pears flower swirls are a perfect accent to this collection and are available in the online store as well. You'll see them featured in several of these cards.
