All fixed!

The website is fully functional again, if you happened to visit our site while it was down you will need to 'clear your cashe' if Created With Paper's site is not coming up for you, basically just go to Tools, then Clear Private Data, make sure Cashe is checked off, then hit ok. Luckily this happened after all of our kits already went out and before the new stuff is coming online at the end of this week!

Expecting Twins

My sister in law is expecting twin girls so I made this card for them. The ribbon and background paper is from next month's Holiday Cheer collection. I've also used paper frills from the Butterfly Collection, and Party Mix Rub-ons from Doodlebug. The Hippo is from Stampin' Up! The layout was inspired by this weeks 2s4u!

Another sample of what's coming next month!

The one thing I love about next month's Holiday Cheer kit is the Patterned Cardstock that has gifts along the bottom. They're so much fun to cut out and embellish with ribbon or brads like I've done with these two samples.

Gift Idea

Here is my take on Kazan's Sketch 11. Look at this cute idea for hostess gift or teachers gift, a simple candy dish and a card! Everything used to make this card was from this month's Play All Day Collection, with the exception of the ribbon, which is from Bo Bunny's Double Dot line just love to work with!

Card Exchange

Since I had the Whiteout Explore Collection out I used the materials to make a bunch of cards for a card exchange. I also used All Stuck Up Buttons and Bigger Bag Flowers Here is some of what was made more to come...

Whiteout Explore Collection

Here I took inspiration from this weeks 2S4Y sketch by Kazan. I just love the look of the lined paper in the Whiteout Explore Collection . The base was 3 layers of patterned paper, I love how this collection already has a textured look because of the whitewash on all the solid sides of the paper. This was a quick card to do because the 3D "You" was from the self adhesive chipboard word package. I cut the flower from the patterned paper and use a Designer Eyelet from the kit for the center of the flower, which was placed over top of a single strip of stitched ribbon from the Unique Trim package.

2 Sketches 4 You

Okay there is a fun and inspirational blog called 2 Sketches 4 You, every week they do a sketch and inspire bloggers to create cards from their pattern. Here is what I created using this week's sketch and the Magnolia Collection, which will be the new kit coming out July 1 at http://www.createdwithpaper.com/ See this month's feature Collection.

Happiness Card

Here I used the same colours again but substituted the brown dot for the green dot cardstock. I used the plain back side of the green and versamarked the swirl stamp for a subtle background.

Happy Birthday Card

Here we are again with the same colours, this time such a simple card, I used a white gel pen to give a stitched look to a strip of card stock. I've also been adding dots to the flower after it's been stamped.

Monday, June 16, 2008

Thank you card

Here I used the Beachy Keen Collection with the simple addition of "Cameo Coral" Ink from Stampin Up to colour the flower and Thank you, I've given a whole different look to the papers that came in the kit, by just combining them with this pink. I used my 1" circle punch to create the orange scallop below the chocolate dot brown strip, a white gel pen for stitching and foam dots to give the flower some dimension.

Card Exchange

Here is the "Warm Wishes" card I made for a local card exchange, the theme was a pocket card. They're not due until the end of June, so if anyone is interested in joining, there is still time. How it works is you make 7 cards that are all the same then you get 7 different cards back!

Sand Castles

Here there were too many mis matched colours in the clothing in the photo so I decided to focus in on the background for the colour pallet for my page. That's one great thing about having a stamp set in the kit, because the blue colour of the water wasn't in the patterned paper of this collection, so I created my own with one of the flowers. I used generation stamping here, started with dark blue and stamped 4 times without reinking in between to get lighter shades of the same colour. I used my stamp spot to dab ink on the chipboard words, I wanted it to be rough looking so I left some white peeking through in spots, it gives the look sand on the beach.

Congratulations Card

Here I took the blue dot cardstock and used my small circle punch to cut out a dozen circles, then I glued them around the circle or boarder edge and punched them with my crop-a-dile to give the unique scallop look you see here. I also used my Bo Bunny flex ruler to cut the striped paper leaving the white background showing, again I followed the curve and punched subtle holes with my crop-a-dile.
