Scraptabs

This card was made with my favourite retired Stampin' Up! set, but what I wanted to share was the "free embellishment" idea I had. Grab the tab off a pop can and use it to string ribbon through, the center holds a brad perfectly to keep it in place and you can even tie a ribbon onto the end if you like, as I did here. It's fun, free and you can even find some cans with different coloured tabs now too!

Here we "R"

Here we go I've finally posted the "R" it's pretty simple..the neat thing that I discovered with this title was a great use for mini glue dots! I used a Stampin' Up! alphabet stamp for the letters then punched them out with my 1/4" circle punch which is the exact size of the mini glue dot. I've always loved the look of these little letters but they'd always been so difficult to adhere -- until now! It was a perfect way to put a title on a small space.

Back of T

Here I just cut the whole picture to match the T shape, don't be afraid to make holes in your picture, just line it up so there in good places, trace from the back and use a hole punch before you glue it down, to get a nice round circle.

Last Page

So it's optional to do the last page in the album, when I did my Love Word album I left the E as the last page but this time I had a perfect picture to end the book so here it is. Now I'll have to go back and post the missing "r" pages!

Back of L

Here I used the bleached chipboard circle and covered it with the sticker circle that was the same size. Then I cut it in half to make the "c" because I wanted to tie in the colour of Nicholas' clothes, the same colour is subtle in the background, but this C added a touch of bold colour right where it was needed.

Give me an "E"

Sorry I couldn't get this one to save rotated. It's one of my favourite pages, this was the whole reason for our family trip to Toronto, (first to see Grandparents) and then for Nic to see the "Dinasour Bones" at the Royal Ontario Museum. He'd been asking to see them for about a year and he thought it was wonderful once we got there. Oh and as some of you have been asking...the R is coming, it didn't scan well the first time, but I will post it.

Give me an "A"

Give me a "T"

The Scrapbooking retreat, couldn't have been more fun, wonderful hosts and great ladies to scrap with made me wish I could have stayed an extra night. However I did manage to get lots of work done, I completed a Travel Album of our recent Family trip to Toronto and I will scan and post a different letter page each day. Here is the first page.
