Here is another creation done from the inspiration of 2 sketches 4 you it was made with new products from My Mind's Eye, watch for kits coming out with My Mind's Eye products next month!

Okay there is a fun and inspirational blog called 2 Sketches 4 You, every week they do a sketch and inspire bloggers to create cards from their pattern. Here is what I created using this week's sketch and the Magnolia Collection, which will be the new kit coming out July 1 at http://www.createdwithpaper.com/ See this month's feature Collection.
Here I used the Beachy Keen Collection with the simple addition of "Cameo Coral" Ink from Stampin Up to colour the flower and Thank you, I've given a whole different look to the papers that came in the kit, by just combining them with this pink. I used my 1" circle punch to create the orange scallop below the chocolate dot brown strip, a white gel pen for stitching and foam dots to give the flower some dimension.

Here there were too many mis matched colours in the clothing in the photo so I decided to focus in on the background for the colour pallet for my page. That's one great thing about having a stamp set in the kit, because the blue colour of the water wasn't in the patterned paper of this collection, so I created my own with one of the flowers. I used generation stamping here, started with dark blue and stamped 4 times without reinking in between to get lighter shades of the same colour. I used my stamp spot to dab ink on the chipboard words, I wanted it to be rough looking so I left some white peeking through in spots, it gives the look sand on the beach.
Here I took the blue dot cardstock and used my small circle punch to cut out a dozen circles, then I glued them around the circle or boarder edge and punched them with my crop-a-dile to give the unique scallop look you see here. I also used my Bo Bunny flex ruler to cut the striped paper leaving the white background showing, again I followed the curve and punched subtle holes with my crop-a-dile.
