Today marks the first day of 2012! It also marks Created With Paper's launch of the Love Letter Collection by Little Yellow Bicycle. This month I have the need for lots of thank you cards for gift sent to our newest little arrival Sophia Violet Lightwood who was born a week before Christmas, so that what I used the kit for. It just goes to show the versatility of this kit, because it is Love themed, but it doesn't have to be, the colours and embellishments can be fashioned in so many different ways for many different themes.

"It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas" over at Created With Paper! Today marks the launch of a great Holiday Kit. This is an unusual mix of sparkly bling and vintage tones but it really works well together. The kit is shown as above and below is a must have add on kit!

Here are four quick yet elegant Christmas cards you could easily put together with this collection. The "Merry & Bright" sentiment comes from a patterned paper!

You may notice in this card that the tree is oriented differently than it came. Originally I put this card together not realizing that the tree was laying on it's side, but not wanting to abandon this layout I used my circle punch to cut the tree out and rotate it 90 degrees to the left.

Here the Noel was also cut from patterned paper, the ribbon is from the die cut Noel cut off (that was used in the second card) and I machine stitched a quick line down the side.

I've used a few other Created With Paper products in these cards such as stitch and floss for the sewing, felt blossoms for the flowers, and crystals and pearls for the bling! With the long weekend approaching I will be at camp away from all computers, cell phones and internet connections, so I thought I would give you all an early showing of what to expect from Created With Paper come August 1st! And you're going to love it. This Jack and Jill kit is so jam packed full of fun papers, embellishments, die cuts, stickers and letters. I've created two pages, and two cards and haven't even begun to use up all the supplies in this collection, which is great because I loved working with it.

Thunder Bay Scrapbooking Event!

Created With Paper will be one of the vendors on hand at the St. John Scrap-A-Thon coming up this September. The event kicks off at the centrally located St. John House (518 Fort William Road) on Friday September 9th, at 7:00 pm and goes until midnight. Participants will be given space to create their own paper crafts and a fun feature of the evening will be a Candy Buffet!

The fun will continue on Saturday September 10th from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Lunch will be provided. There will also be fun door prizes and a penny auction!

Tickets are $75 and selling fast! With only 48 spots available be sure to get yours soon! Tickets can be purchased 8:30-4:30 Monday to Friday at St. John Ambulance. They accept cash, debit, or credit card transactions. Tickets are also available at DAT's Scrapbooking during regular business hours, or in person from Rosemary Bida, owner and operator of Created With Paper.

Each ticket comes with your choice of a Paper and Accessories kit. There are limited quantities of each, so availability is on a first come basis! Images can be seen above.

I have lots of summer birthdays coming up so I made these fun cards, for example..."life's a beach...dive into summer" is perfect for one of my beach volleyball friends, it's for a guy and I found the colours to be great for male or female, which is great because it's not always easy to make cards for men!

I always like the "for you" saying, it's generic enough, short enough for a card and doesn't use too many letters! Here I used all the "leafy" elements of this month's kit, one fun touch is I put random gems on the leaves of the tree, it adds a nice bit of sparkle! Stay tuned, more to come this weekend!

Okay here was a sweet, quick and fun card that I made with this month's kit. I wanted to show how to use up miscellaneous letters that you have left over from partially used sticker packs. The "d" is from this month's kit, but I didn't have enough letters for "birthday" because I'd made so many titles and stuff on my other projects. I also know that it's almost impossible to write "birthday" straight across a card because it's too long of a word for most fonts. So this solves both problems and became a focal point for the card!

Here is a project I made from the Union Square collection. I took one of the boxes left from the Mama-razzi kit and decorated it for a valentine's treat. I have it filled with Chocolate Truffles for my husband. It may seem soon to be working on Valentine's stuff but his birthday is two days after so it's good to have a head start on things :)

Hip Hip Hooray Take Two

Hi everyone I'm back with another card making video, I'm just trying to figure out all the different angles and aspects of putting them together. Once I figure out the best system I'll see how long it will take me and I'll come up with a routine for posting them regularly. My dad's birthday is coming up this week so I made him a card with this month's Hip Hip Hooray Collection, I was inspired by Sunday's sketch at 365 cards, and here is the finished product!

This card was created from the Jolly by Golly Collection which is now sold out, and it was inspired by this week's 2s4u sketch. Sorry it's not the clearest image, the batteries are dead on my digital SLR camera.

Getting the most from your kit....

This card was created using the cover page on the kit. All the patterned paper, snowman and sentiment were all cut out of the front page. It's a great way to make cards because you get lots of small patterned paper pieces without having to cut into a big 12x12 sheet!

First Candy Apples

Here is the complement to the last layout I did. Here I used the remaining piece of Calypso Hope, on the bold patterned side this time. I placed that on top of Limeade Green Cardstock and covered the edges with the "play, dance, laugh" ribbon. I used one of the Calypso Cut Outs to create my tittle. With "first candy" with the mini alphabet rub-ons and "Apples" in the Sew Simple Cardstock letters. I added some rub-on dragonflies and a branch that looks watermarked!

I used so many elements of the kit for this page. I started with the solid apple red cardstock and put a strip of Calypso Hope in the center and pictures above and below. I cut the tickets and journal box out of the Calypso Cut Out page. Then I used the cardstock Sew simple letters for Benny Birch and then (it's hard to see in the photo) but used the candy shoppe rub-ons for the birthday party 2009. Lastly I added two flowers and a brad, just to hide the fact that one of my letters was over top of one of the words. The new collection is now online and can be purchased at Created With Paper!

Okay today's card is for my Brother in Law's birthday and was inspired by the 2S4U sketch and colours from the ad inspiration at 365 Cards. All of the materials from this card came from Created With Paper's Blue Boutique Collection. Sympathy Card

Sadly I need a few sympathy cards this week. My brother's mother in law Shirley passed away. I found this Pocket full of posies to be a good collection to use for Sympathy cards. The soft blue and yellow colours and patterns are soothing and simple. I also used a "With Heartfelt Sympathy" stamp from Stampin' Up! The flower in the middle was cut from the pp, and placed inside a frosted lollipop flower from Prima.

Today I'm going to a family picnic at Nicholas' school because his JK time is coming to an end this week. His school has a lot of great faculty that make his education was it is, so I've created a few thank you gifts for them. His full time teacher will be receiving a gift basket but here are some fun and inexpensive gifts I was able to put together with our tins and the Cherry Hill Collection. The best part is that Nicholas was able to punch out the shapes and decorate the chocolate peperment patties.

This card was inspired by the wonderful sketch this week over at 2s4u. I used the Cherry Hill Collection Kit. I'm loving these pp, the colours make a perfect back drop. The edges are stitched with Bazzill Floss, the Crystals are Black Swirl the flowers are from the Prima Deluxe Mixed Bag, and the letters are White Foam Thickers.

Today's feature was created by Tracy. She has used the Fawnd of You Collection to create this double layout. I love the way Tracy used the tickets built into the backround paper as a journalling spot, she even added ribbons to them and now they look like they were added on top of the page. I also really like how she combined the paper trim and the dot ribbon to divide the page into two. She created these at a scrapbooking retreat we atteneded and we had a great giggle helping her to choose a title for her page...the partridge family.. funny referance to the popular tv show.

I thought we would start our week of sharing with this month's Nonsense Collection. I really love the way Lori was able to incorporate all of the elements from this kit on the one page, solid cardstock, pp, pp cutouts, crystals, chipboard tags, ribbon, and the designer eyelet. 1st Snowman

Again this layout was made with the Frosty Days Collection Created With Paper featured as a kit for February 09. I used the chesnut thickers here again and used the "z" for and "n" and I really like the way the sharp lines match the "M". I didn't have a big one, so I actually traced a chipboard capital I that had the look of a 1. I like how that turned out too :) There is journalling on this page too, it's purposefly hard to see, it follows the line on the torn paper under the pictures. If you have any scraps left from creating the album from this kit I encourage you to use them. One of our customers was just saying yesterday that even after completing the album she was able to get two pages done, and thought she still had enough to make another two.

Okay, I know it seems like we're far off from winter...but these photo are actually from Spring! Yes April fools day in fact, and it seemed like mother nature was playing a trick on us..here are the two layouts I made with the amazingly popular Frosty Days Collection and some brown and white Chit Chat Thickers which I LOVE!! Created With Paper is amoung the first to receive the hottest new October Afternoon Cherry Hill Collection kits, and as soon as I saw the 2S4U sketch this week I couldn't wait to make a card with this kit and sketch! I also used Black Say It in Crystals, one of the new birdie doodlebug braddies and the rope and stamp are from Stampin' Up!

We also have the 8x8 paper pads, wild cards, and rub-ons from both the Cherry Hill and Ducks in a Row line! So much fun :)

Nonsense Layouts

Here are two pages I made from this month's Nonsense Collection. Sorry it's not clearer, the weather isn't giving us great sunny days for optimal picture taking! If I keep waiting for ideal conditions, I'm afraid we may be into July before I'd be able to get these up, it's been a sad start to our June to say the least! Because they're not super clear you can't really see my journaling, but I followed the curve along the second page and wrote a bit about our day along the right side. I made a mistake in my writing so I covered it up with a flower from the Prima Deluxe Mix bag, but everything else is from this month's kit. The other flowers and birds/branches were cut from the patterned paper, the title was done with the coper rub-ons, designer eyelets were used in the center of the flowers and the Say It in Crystals were used to give a little sparkle!

Here is a recent picture of me and my mom getting ready to go see a highschool production. When I was doing up this layout at the retreat, everyone was amazed at how great my mom looks, I don't often get photos of us together, it's usually always the kids were snapping pictures of. This layout is all the Abbey Road Collection, accept the hand stitched title "my mom".

This was a quick and simple layout to create. Everything was from this month's Abbey Road Collection, accept for the chit chat brown and white Thickers. I really love the look of them on this page, I had run out of brown 'n's so I turned the z on it's side, never be afraid to cut or rearrange your letters and numbers to find what you need for your sentitment!

Here I used the Abbey Road Collection from Created With Paper. I love the way the Rainboots powder Thickers and chunky chipboard letters in the title "easter hunt" mimic the "chocolate bunny" words on the cardstock sticker.

30 Minute Layout!

At the scrapbooking retreat we were challenged to create a 30 minute page. This is a fun way to create something quickly. I did up this layout using this month's Abbey Road Collection from Created With Paper. I also minimized the blue elements in the kit and brought in some pink thickers and deluxe mixed flowers to match my daughters outfit in the photo. Really changes the look of this kit!

Hi all I'm back, sorry I've been away I was on a scrapbooking retreat this past long weekend so I've got lots of new creations to share this week. But first lets start with a card I created for today's 365 Challenge, the idea is to incorporate plaid into your card. Well I created this birthday card for a 4 year old birthday girl! Happy Birthday to Julia, we're looking forward to her princess party on Saturday :)

Mother's Day Reveal!

This album was created with one of the great collection kits we just got in from October Afternoon! The Detours line is so cute! Deers, and apples and trees OH MY! We can't wait for their newest lines to arrive too, you'll love them! I also used great sets of thickers we have, Rainboots Powder, Daiquiri Foam Green and White. Lastly I used great prima products, Say It In Crystals and the Deluxe Mix Flowers, faboulous colour match for this line!

Sorry I've not posted much this week, we were busy getting all our orders out for the launch of our May kit and the NSD promo was a huge success, we're glad so many of you were able to take advantage of our free kits! And of course this album is the other reason I haven't been posting, I've been putting together this album for my wonderful mom!
